A weird, short experience about a toxic relationship between a boy and a girl and how the boy used the girl's love for his own mean. All of this told through old RPG's art style and interaction. I can appreciate the message that the game try to convey through the gameplay.
I couldn't play, I tried to run it through the browser and I couldn't do anything (not to mention that there was an error downloading a sound from the game) so I downloaded the game, but I couldn't do anything either :(
I really liked this! I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but I really love the nostalgic use of old-school JRPG/dungeon-crawling level design, juxtaposed with the flashback scenes... Honestly this was a weirdly relatable game to play, so I have a lot of feelings after finishing and getting such a downer ending lol. I really like that the set-up is your classic RPG "fight the monsters to save the love of your life!" plot, but then then the real monster is the love of her life- the JRPG monsters all try to convince her to save herself and yet never bar her way (or is she striking them down without them resisting...?)
I also am very into the use of a "curse" analogy for an abusive and toxic relationship. It makes me think a lot about how so many people, especially women, think they're obligated to try to "change" abusive person they fall in love with, for myriad reasons. But really, it isn't up to anyone to break the "curse" that causes people to be abusive, especially not at the expense of their own well-being and happiness..
A lot of thoughts about this despite how short it is lol. Which just speaks to how much depth and emotion you skillfully packed into it. Thank you for sharing!
What an interesting and powerful game! Even though it doesn't happen in the way I would have hoped, I'm glad Michelle eventually gets to be free at the end. And now that she's single, maybe she can date one of those demons...?

Can you make it an app for mobile instead of having it in zip?
Super good.
Absolutely spectacular!
This is not a game, it's a work of art. Spectacular!

Very well done, evocative game. Kudos.
